A semi-pure diet formulation for laboratory rats and mice based on AIN-93G and diet presented in Kraegen et. al (1991), Development of diet-induced insulin resistance, Diabetes, volume 40.
• Total fat content has been increased to 34% fat. Using generally recognised energy data this
would equate to a diet where 55% of total energy is from lipids.
• This formulation has been modified from the standard AIN-93G to have higher protein and
34% fat.
